General rules on time limits…

If time has expired, and the home team is batting and ahead, the game is over.  If one team cannot come back from a deficit (due to run limits per inning), the game is over even if time has not expired.  If time is expired, and the visiting team is leading, the home team gets to finish its at bat.  If time has expired and the game is tied, the game ends in a tie.  There are no extra innings if time has expired.

Other general rules --

On weekdays, the home team is home.  If you are playing in Prosper on a weeknight, they are the home team.  If it is two visiting teams in a weeknight game (Celina and Gunter playing in Prosper), you flip for home.  On the weekend, you always flip for home.

If you think a rule might be violated, inform the umpire.  If you don't like the umpire's decision on the rule (not on a judgment call), inform him that you would like to protest the game.  Instantly, before another pitch is thrown, inform him of that decision.  If you let play continue, you have no grounds for protest.  If the game is complete, it is too late to protest.  If you have protested in time, document exactly what the issue is, who the umpire is, who the other coach is, and take $20 to the concession stand.  Inform them that this is protest money.  Call me that night or early the next morning.  I will inform the district director.  If you are correct in your judgment, you will get your $20 back. If not, thanks for donating to the town's concessions.
